Within the last few years faculty members have held local and national leadership positions with major professional association, the Advertising Federation, Association for Women in Communications, and the International Advertising Association. They have also published on papers on diversity, ethics, integrated marketing communications, creativity, and Spanish-language advertising. In addition, some have won Addy and Telly awards and AMA Marketer of the Year Awards. Recent FIU advertising graduates hold jobs at Young & Rubicam (New York), Dailey & Associates (Los Angeles), ESPN and MTV (Miami), The Miami Herald, and with almost every ad agency in Miami.
