Grammar Exam Support

Welcome to the School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s language skills program. All students entering our program are required to pass a grammar test and demonstrate writing proficiency by writing a sample essay.

The Language Skills Test

The language skills test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Students must score "70" or better to pass. If a student scores 70 or better, he will then write a brief essay of approximately 300-400 words on an assigned topic. The writing sample will be graded for syntax, spelling, punctuation and clarity of thought.
