The Creative Track Master's Degree incorporates the merits of strategic planning inherent in the discipline of marketing communication with hands-on creative training that focuses on the development of advanced execution tools.

This unique partnership between Miami Ad School and FIU is designed to prepare student for executive-level careers in art direction or copywriting-both require advanced practical creative skills with strategic thinking. Thus, after successfully crossing a full-time 1 1/2 year program, students will come away with a professional portfolio, a fat rolodex of industry contacts and a Master's of Science in Mass Communications.

To apply for the Creative Track, students need to apply for both Miami Ad School and FIU's Master's ICAP program. Creative Track applications are accepted twice a year only: The Fall term and the Spring term.

Applicants must demonstrate a proficiency in Photoshop and either InDesign or Illustrator software applications.

Courses are taught at both Miami Ad School and FIU's Biscayne Bay campus and include:

Four (3) credit ICAP program, theoretical courses
Eight (3) credit practical courses

In addition to the above requirements, each student will complete a professional project that combines the theoretical knowledge with the creative talent acquired throughout the program.
