Samuel G. Freedman, award-winning author and columnist

Mary Ann Wolfe Theater, FIU North Campus

To commemorate Sunshine Week, Samuel G. Freedman will discuss his latest book, Letters to a Young Journalist, which explores journalists’ role in a democratic society. A columnist for The New York Times and a professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, Freedman is the author of several acclaimed books. Sunshine Week is a national initiative stressing the importance of open government and freedom of information.
